About TVEAP
TVE Asia Pacific: Moving images moving people
Television for Education -- Asia Pacific, trading as TVE Asia Pacific (TVEAP) taps the enormous power of moving images and digital media to communicate sustainable development and social issues. A regionally operating media foundation, it works closely with TV broadcasters, civil society groups and educational organisations in the Asia Pacific, home to half of humanity.
TVEAP supports Asian TV journalists and film-makers to tell their stories to local, regional and global audiences, while distributing independent video productions for education, awareness, advocacy and training. It also carries out media training, communication strategy preparation and media research.
Set up in 1996, TVEAP is a non-profit company in Sri Lanka governed by an international Board. Its educational work receives support from development donors, corporate sponsors and foundations but TVEAP content is produced on an editorially independent basis.
