This video was taken in the end of June, prior to the July 18 elections in Mauritania at private home in Nouakchott showing pro-aziz campaign staffers buying then electronically duplicating voters ID cards from a group of people Residing in the Arafat district in Nouakchott.
How does it work? Voters ID's are electronically scanned then new pictures with the same names are inserted, then those names are also added to the electoral registry allowing them to vote in multiple bureaus with new ID cards.
General Mohamed Abdelaziz who led a coup against Mauritania's first democratically elected president just declared himself winner of these elections with 52% of the vote. The opposition's 4 main candidates rejected the results and are calling for an investigation. Please help the Mauritanian people resist this fraud.
