This interview was conducted by Hub/Archive Intern Teague Schneiter (October 2nd, 2009 at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut) with Socheata Poeuv, founder of Khmer Legacies - a Cambodian Genocide video testimony archive. This video is the second part in a series of interviews with professionals and academics on the topic of archives and human rights, as part of a larger project to highlight the importance of thinking of archives in a human rights context, for achieving greater understanding of this burgeoning field.

In this video, Socheata discusses the following questions:

• What is the goal of your organisation?

• How do oral testimonies shape our remembrance of past atrocities?

• How can archives add to our understanding of history?

• What are some ethical concerns with putting (this type of) video online?

•  What do archives have to do with human rights?
