Dr. Omotade Aina, a Nigerian Sociologist and former professor at the University of Lagos, offers WITNESS his commentary on the recent violence in Nigeria and the press coverage of the Boko Haram sect. Dr. Aina's lectures, published works and research often are related to urban poverty, development and governance in Africa. He is currently the Program Director for Higher Education in Africa at the Carnegie Corporation.
