Urumqi's streets were again filled with protestors today - Uighur women demanding the release of their men (in front of the lenses of the international media), and Han Chinese men wielding weapons. Riot police have dispersed these latest protests, and a clampdown is in place on social media platforms and internet and mobile communications.
