On May 23, 2008, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Racism, Mr. Doudou Diene of Senegal, was in Chicago as part of a three-week mission to the U.S. Mr. Diene attended a public hearing where representatives from NGOs and victims provided testimony on racial discrimination practices in the city.

Joey Mogul, attorney to Chicago Police torture victims provided testimony on police brutality and the Jon Burge torture cases.

Following Joey Mogul's testimony are remarks by Anthony Holmes. Holmes was tortured by Jon Burge in 1973.
