A plain clothes police officer (Royal Malaysian Police Force - Polis DiRaja Malaysia) shot several rounds into the air to break up an alleged fight in a parking lot in Old Klang Road on Saturday, 19 August 2006. The kids were returning from a punk gig at private space they rented for the day.

24 kids were remanded for about 5 days in the Brickfields lock up and released.

Local tabloid, Harian Metro, stated that the police were attacked by a bunch of punks and fired in the air in self defence. This fact was denied by witnesses at the scene.

It's clear from the video that there was no such attack on the plain clothes cop (dressed in dark clothes).
