On the Frontlines, a video that advocates for the cessation of voluntary recruitment of child soldiers in Eastern DRC, was the first film produced by Ajedi-Ka in collaboration with WITNESS.

The video features powerful footage, shot between 2003 and 2004, of the military training of children in several militia camps in South Kivu as well as compelling testimony from demobilized child soldiers recounting the horrifying memories of life as soldiers.

In addition to screenings with key decision makers, the film was screened to more than 30,000 villagers across Eastern DRC to raise awareness and debate about the issue of child soldiers and to discourage families and childrens to voluntarily recruit in local armies.

Since the screenings began AJEDI-Ka has noticed a significant decrease of the voluntary recruitment of child soldiers in some parts of the eastern DRC.
