Pakistani security forces have blocked roads in and out of the volatile Swat Valley, as the military steps up its campaign against the Taliban in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).
Residents who have managed to flee the area now join tens of thousands of people displaced by the fighting, with many huddling in crowded makeshift camps as the offensive continues.
