The situation in the Sudanese region of Darfur has been labelled "the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world".
But now a group of former Sudanese rebels tells Al Jazeera that some of the figures of dead and displaced have been fabricated.
Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports.
