The Lyari Highway is currently being built in Pakistan as a solution to the congestion problem in Karachi. In order to successfully complete this project, over 200,000 people will have their houses and communities destroyed, a severe form of human rights violation. Some of these neighborhoods that are located along the Lyari river have developed over time establishing offices and schools, as some people have resided there for generations. Construction, however, has continued, leaving these people with little compensation.
