About PHR

Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) was founded on the idea that health professionals are uniquely qualified to investigate human rights violations around the world. PHR works with health professionals across the globe to stop egregious human rights violations, motivated by the simple, unwavering belief that health is a universal right to which all are entitled. The organization is headquartered in Cambridge, MA. In 1997, Physicians for Human Rights was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
