A lot?
I am an undergraduate student at Gallatin studying human rights and social justice through the documentary lens. I am passionate about many different human rights issues. I am personally involved in the fight for women's rights, indigenous rights, and LGBTQ rights. Aside from my personal human rights battles, I am interested in sustainable development abroad, ending sex-trafficing, opening up the opportunity for education for the world's amazing girls and young women and many other things.
I am currently involved in 2 human rights projects happening in Manhattan: One is the Sojourner Visitation Program which takes people to visit asylum seekers locked away in the Elizabeth Detention Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The other is a program called the "Washington Heights Corner Project" which is a harm reduction and needle exchange facility working to end the spread of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C by providing clean injection equipment to drug users. Their slogan is the best: "Shoot Safe, Fuck Clean"
