Following the New York Premier of the film, Mrs. Goundo's Daughter at the 20th Human Rights Watch International Film Festival, we spoke to the film's editors and producers. In our interview, they discuss the impact of the film, why female genital cutting is an issue salient not only to those in Mali but also to those in the West, and how Westerners can support the fight against female genital cutting.

Interviews with:

Janet Goldwater - Co-Director

Sharon Mullally - Co-Editor

Sabrina Schmidt Gordon - Co-Producer

Lakshmi Anantnarayan - Communications Director, Equality Now

Moussa Traoré - Associate Producer
