Yesterday, the people of Iran, defying Khameneis warnings, went to streets in Tehran and other cities to press with their demand for regime change. On Khameneis orders, the suppressive forces opened fire on the demonstrators. Dozens were killed. Thousands more were wounded or arrested.
Their only crime was demanding freedom. The world witnessed the final moments of a young girl, Neda, who was shot by the Guards in north Tehran. Her father was telling her in those final moments have no fear Neda! Today, the people have named the street as Neda. With yesterdays crime, the mullahs regime entered an irreversible phase. At the same time, Iranians abroad, held a massive gathering in Paris in solidarity with the Iranian peoples uprisings. NINETY THOUSAND Iranians echoed the slogans of those in Iran: death to dictator and long live freedom.
The Iranian peoples uprisings over the past week dashed the illusion about the strength and stability of mullahs regime. It clearly showed that the Iranian people are ready for democratic change. The Iranian people, at home and abroad, have the same demand: an end to religious dictatorship.
The only solution for Iran is democratic change, dismantling all suppressive forces and holding a free and fair election under UN supervision. I therefore, call on the UN Security Council, governments and international forums to the following:
1.Reject the mullahs' sham election and appointment of Ahmadinejad. Compel the regime to accept a free and fair election under the UN supervision based on peoples sovereignty and not based on religious dictatorship.
2.Suspend all political and diplomatic ties with the mullahs regime until the suppression is completely stopped.
3.Impose a trade, diplomatic, arms and technology embargo on the regime.
4.Urge the UN Security Council to refer the crimes committed by the leaders of the regime, in particular Khamenei, to an international tribunal.
5.Impose a foreign travel ban on the regimes leaders
