I graduated Irkutsk State University in 2008, my major is "International Relations"/ At present I am studying at Central European University, major - Public Policy. I am interested in Mass Media and new technologies. In my opinion Internet and new communication technologies have great influence on modern societies. Knowledge and information have become unique product, which not only can be bought or sold, but this product also controls society by itself. I have great interest to the field of Media regulation and management of Media and would like to make contribution in development and application of new Media and communication technologies in developing countries. I strongly believed it is great opportunity for countries like Russia to develop in democratic way and narrow the gap in other spheres of human life (economy, political life, human rights etc.)

I am an undergraduate student at Gallatin studying human rights and social justice through the documentary lens. I am passionate about many different human rights issues. I am personally involved in the fight for women's rights, indigenous rights, and LGBTQ rights. Aside from my personal human rights battles, I am interested in sustainable development abroad, ending sex-trafficing, opening up the opportunity for education for the world's amazing girls and young women and many other things. I am currently involved in 2 human rights projects happening in Manhattan: One is the Sojourner Visitation Program which takes people to visit asylum seekers locked away in the Elizabeth Detention Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The other is a program called the "Washington Heights Corner Project" which is a harm reduction and needle exchange facility working to end the spread of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C by providing clean injection equipment to drug users. Their slogan is the best: "Shoot Safe, Fuck Clean"
