We're going to screen SKID ROW on Sunday, August 24th at Harkins Theater in Denver the day before the Democratic National Convention starts. The National Coalition for the Homeless will have a Voter Registration Booth and we are looking to attract much national press to bring the homeless crisis to the forefront of the election campaign. There are many new stories emerging about middle-class homelessness and we belive that the crisis is worsening with each day the war drags on.

The spotlight has been shining for months on U.S. government torture of prisoners at the Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay detention facilities, and these abuses will likely be a major focus of attention on June 26. But the U.S. Human Rights Network and its 255 member organizations have long argued that torture does not begin and end outside U.S.
