Darfur Bleeds

Photojournalist Tim Hetherington travelled with Human Rights Watch to Chad to investigate the spillover of violence from the neighboring conflict in Darfur, Sudan. This video documents their findings in the village of Jawara, where 118 people were killed by Sudanese Janjaweed militia and local Chadian recruits over the course of two days in April, 2006.

Dream For Darfur Torch Lighting Ceremony in Bosnia

"The Dream for Darfur Olympic-style torch relay began on August 9 in Chad, near the Darfur border. The countries we visited between then and January 2008 -- Rwanda, Armenia, Germany, Bosnia, and Cambodia -- were chosen because they were all the sites of previous genocides and mass atrocity. At each relay, the torch was carried by survivors of genocide and their descendants." --Dream for Darfur.org

Morocco Human Rights

All human rights issues could be covered, as far as I am concerned it is Amnesty information based, atleast checkable information. The group should focus on writing letters, working together, lobbying for a better human rights situation.

Main focus: Migrants, Human Rights defenders, Torture, freedom of speech, and Moroccan Police violations in Western Sahara

Investing in Tragedy: China's Money, Arms, and Politics in Sudan

Investing in Tragedy makes the case that through its money, arms and politics, China has helped to sustain the violence in the war torn region of Darfur, Sudan. After more than five years of conflict that has left at least 200,000 people dead and more than 2.5 million people homeless, China continues to strengthen its relationship with the government of Sudan despite the government's record of mass atrocities in Darfur.
