"The Dream for Darfur Olympic-style torch relay began on August 9 in Chad, near the Darfur border. The countries we visited between then and January 2008 -- Rwanda, Armenia, Germany, Bosnia, and Cambodia -- were chosen because they were all the sites of previous genocides and mass atrocity. At each relay, the torch was carried by survivors of genocide and their descendants." --Dream for Darfur.org
