This film is now in post-production. It is about an organization in Senegal known as Tostan that brings human rights education to the people of Senegal and other African countries with amazing results. The greatest success of the program, which has no agenda other than to teach people their human rights, is that women in Senegal, Guinea and many other African countries have taken the initiative to end female genital cutting. The revolution has spread like wildfire across West Africa and is a wonderful illustration of how education empowers illiterate people to make their own decisions about how they want to live without relying on outside organizations to point the finger.
