"How do we connect children who have no access to computers or the internet to children who do? How do we allow for some of the same faculties and functions that young people in highly connected environments are used to, when all that is available is a mobile phone or a radio?"
"Our Stories" is a partnership between UNICEF, Google and One Laptop Per Child that aims to collect 5 million stories by the year 2010.
UNICEF is working for as many children to be able to participate as possible in sharing their story, even if they don't have access to a high speed internet connection or computer.
In January 2007, UNIWiki was created in UNICEF, UNIWiki is way of thinking, that looks for as many ways to connect people as possible and have their voices be heard. Much of this work comes out of the Innovations and Development section of the Youth Team, in UNICEF's Division and Communication, and the rest through exciting connections with global partners.
