A 4-hour live program of films, speakers, and music will be broadcast from cities around the world beginning at 18:00 GMT, and will reach people globally through the Internet, television, digital cinemas, and mobile phones. We believe that archives can and should play an important role in the support of human rights advocacy, prosecution of justice, and the preservation and access of important historical narratives. The video collection comprises over 3000 hours of video from human rights defenders around the world. Footage includes witnes and victim testimonies, abuses caught on tape, interviews with key human rights defenders, evidentiary submissions, and footage of cultural events and daily life.
