Access to information is one of cornerstones of international law. According to Yersil Sanchez of the Environmental Advocacy Center, a lack of such access is holding back Latin America’s human rights framework. Without this relevant information, populations neglected by development projects will never know the precedence of human rights legislation passed internationally.
