A day after the election in Moldova the youth of the country hit to the street.
A spontaneous protest gathered possibly 5000 people in Stefan Cel Mare square in Chisinau. Mostly young people and students wished to shout an end to the Communists! Many arrived later than the 6 pm start of the event, as they drove for more than an hour to reach the capital.
After already two terms in power the communists won by 50% with the liberal and the liberal democrats behind with only a 13%. This is even worse than in 2001 and 2005, we want change and nobody seems to listen to us, says a young girl at the protest.
Only at 10 pm people started scattering and returning home; but not without calling a new protest meeting at 10 am next day.
