Several citizen media websites have been covering the fighting in Gaza, which has left over 500 people dead in the last 10 days.  Here are a few of them:

1 - Global Voices' special coverage of Gaza Strip Bombings

2 - Ikbis, a regional video-sharing platform, created a special channel for people to people to upload videos and contribute to the coverage here

3 - Al Jazeera launched a new site for citizens to send report from Gaza via SMS and Twitter.  Read MobileActive's post on the initiative and then visit the channel here

4 - Gazanews on Twitter has over 1,000 updates and 1,947 followers so far...

We'll be adding to this list throughout the day.  Do you know of others?  If so, please let us know and join the conversation by leaving a comment below.

More reports from citizen journalists

1) From OneWorld, a list of organizations working on the ground as well as SMS reports sent in by youth in Gaza, like this one from Fairouz:

"Last night at 3:20 a.m. our neighbors informed us that buildings close to our home will be bombarded and that it wasn't safe for us to stay. We grabbed our ID cards, money and some bed covers and went to a nearby park where all the people were gathering. We had to call relatives and move in with them. The situation is really miserable. I was supposed to graduate and now we are left without electricity, water...not even a house."
