Breakthrough interviewed Sebastian Cordoba on his new film, "Through Thick and Thin," a documentary about the immigration struggles for lesbian and gay couples in America.

The film explores the lives of ten couples that are facing the hurdles imposed upon them by the U.S immigration system. There is currently no legal way to sponsor your foreign born partner, As a result, couples formed during a temporary stay are doomed from the start.

After the interview, catch a sneak peak of the trailer, where we meet Mark and Fred. They are desperately trying to hold on their family, relationship, and the lives they have built together in the U.S.
This is just one couple, but there are many others.
