Here are three videos worth watching from this week on the Hub:
1) From Egyptian blogger Wael Abbas come two videos that appear to document the aftermath of recent clashes between Egyptian security forces and Bedouin communities in the Sinai Peninsula. As with other human rights footage that has been leaked to Wael in the past, some of these clips have been removed from Wael's channel on Youtube (more on Wael's blog here). We've uploaded the videos along with the description Wael provided on his blog and Youtube account. If you have more information about these videos or if you speak Arabic and can translate what's being said, please email me. Please be advised that the second video embedded below contains graphic and disturbing images of violence - use discretion when viewing.
2) WITNESS' Ryan Schlief and Licadho bring us this video about how families from the Dey Krahorm community in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, have resisted violence and intimidation to avoid from being forcibly evicted by the 7NG company. An estimated 30,000 residents from the capital city of Phnom Penh have already been evicted from their homes due to development projects and "beautification" schemes. Forced eviction is a human rights issue facing communities across Asia. To learn more, read this post with testimonies from activists working in the Philippines, India, Thailand, and Nepal.
