Thank you for sharing this story about your difficulties in finding protections for the elder woman you were caring for. This will make a difference in our campaign as currently, for every dollar of funding allotted to protect child, women and elders from abuse, only 2 cents on the dollar goes to protect elders even though they are 18% of the popultions. The Elder Justice Act, if passed with appropriations, should help to alleviate part of this funding deficit and give Adult Protective Services some of the financial support it needs to do it's job. Because rigth now, the agency has little to no funding. This must change.
