Iran: Memorial Rally Honors Neda

Thousands of people gathered in Iran this past week to mark the 40th day of mourning for Neda Soltan, a young woman who was killed on camera during a post-election protest in Tehran and whose image has since become a rallying cry for protesters in Iran and beyond. 

Several media outlets are reporting that the police used violence to clear the area where demonstrators were gathering and also barred opposition leaders from Neda's gravesite. Our featured video shows one of those memorial rallies in Tehran:
